These records are most definitely a testament to the incredible speed and endurance of these runners. They are testing the limits of what humans are capable of.
What Is The 5K World Record Time For A Woman?
The world record 5K time for women is held by Gudaf Tsegay of Ethiopia. She clocked an amazing 14 minutes and 0.21 seconds during the Diamond League meet in Oregon, 2023.
Running at more than twice the speed of the average female runner, it’s an extraordinary time, and represents the absolute pinnacle of women’s 5K racing.
What Is The 5K World Record Time For A Man?
The world record 5K time for men was set by Joshua Cheptegei from Uganda. He achieved an extremely speedy time of 12 minutes and 35.36 seconds in Monaco in 2020. Absolutely amazing!
World records are there to be beaten, who knows, could you be the one to off stage these world record holders?!
Gudaf Tsegay and Joshua Cheptegei are such an inspiration and remind us of the almost unbelievable things humans can achieve. They have worked incredibly hard over the years to achieve the fastest 5K times ever recorded!
